This is a free event, all are welcome.

Two artists with deep connections to Ōtautahi/Christchurch show alongside one another here at The Central, from Thursday, March 9th. Lonnie Hutchinson and Stacey Turner have moved back to the city from Auckland and Melbourne respectively. And it is with much pleasure that we present their work together: cut and painted aluminium wall reliefs by Lonnie; and paintings that explore aspects both gestural and delicately graphic from Stacey.

Lonnie Hutchinson (Ngāti kuri ki Ngāi Tahu, Samoan, Celtic) is well known throughout Aotearoa, with works in collections both public and private, indoors and out – over a career spanning more than three decades now.

Stacey Turner (Ngāpuhi) graduated from the Canterbury School of Art, Ilam in 2007. This is his first exhibition in Ōtautahi since 2008 – a show called Drawing is all you Need at 64zero3.
