"Fiona Van Oyen's prints are a response to specific landscapes that have meaning to her in her personal map of self. Like the landscapes and the artist, in each series each print is a subtly different variant on the one before as the lino plate is worked and reworked to bring out new details or expressions, deepening in richness. Indirectly this alludes to the ephemeral impermanence of things."
