As the name suggests, these new short-run, invite-only, project-based shows will offer a glimpse into the practice of some of New Zealand’s most significant artists. And we’re kicking off with one of the best – Martin Poppelwell (b.1969).
Martin is an artist who (thankfully) refuses to adhere to a single discipline, being known and loved for his drawings, paintings, ceramics, installations and sculpture. Bringing his unique sense of humour, rock-solid insights, and his legendary creative genius to The Vivian for the very first time, we’re proud that Martin is helping us make a little bit of art history with our very first V Project.
