Emma Camden is a Whanganui-based glass artist concerned about our environment and inspired by architecture. Her glass works are strong and brutal, with no intentional ‘pretty’ aesthetic, yet they captivate through their form, colour, and relationship to light. Emma’s latest body of work is inspired by a narrative of nature reclaiming space and place, portraying organic forms eating away at the geometry of the made structure.
Alongside Emma’s exhibited artworks are new works by Ōtautahi-based artist Elizabeth Moyle and Auckland-based artist Veronica Herber. Elizabeth’s practice is inspired by the transient nature of life while Veronica’s is embedded in mathematics, precision and minimalism.
