Twelve small framed paintings each coloured and titled with a hint of the changing seasons, comprise Kristin Carlin's first solo exhibition at The Central. She won the Molly Morpeth Canaday Award in 2017, and in the same year exhibited paintings alongside work by Franes Hodgkins in the Dunedin Public Art Gallery - A show called 'Through the Trees'. So we will still be making out the wood from the trees in these paintings, which will be energetic, playful and typically thoughtful in their thick daubs of oil on board.
