At its core, Kōrero6 recognises human relationships as fundamental to its outcome. By valuing time and space to connect as a group of six, a predominantly painterly exhibition has transpired through interactivity and creativity. The Kōrero6 collaborators-Jon Jeet; Kim Lowe; Asher Newbery; Nadine Muir; Daniel Ido, and Elizabeth Moyle-shared their individual knowledge with the group, enriching each other's practices, creating ripples of inspired growth in the process. With no expectations, other than an opening date, and no predetermined theme, the group simply committed to nurturing kinship and human relations as they worked towards a common goal in a non-linear fashion. The result is an exhibition of works speaking to place and identity, reflecting on each artist's connection with the natural world.
